Last night Chelsea U18 beat
Manchester city 5-2 on aggregate basis. In youth FA cup final it was Chelsea fourth
success in last 6 years, which is astonishing. Dom Solanke 18 year old striker
scored in every round of FA cup. Note ably, couple of weeks ago Chelsea beat
shakhtar Donetsk 3-2 in UEFA youth league final. Chelsea joined Barcelona to
win both CL and youth league, but the question is how many youngsters were
given chance in senior team? How many of them are playing in the senior team?
Shamefully the answer is NO. How many of them will be playing for senior team
in next season? No one knows. Apart from Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho though.
Jose has clearly stated that Ruben Loftus will be playing for first team and he
does not need to go on loan but only time will decide either he is going to put
kid on the field or just practicing the lips. Chelsea have failed to deliver
the expectation of their football fans only John Terry was the last time who promoted
into the first team before Abramovich era. Every huge expectation from Kakuta,
Mceachran, sinclair , all failed to live up to the expectations of West
Londoner club. That is the reason most of the football fans jeopardies. This
club and labeled them that they buy trophies.
What is the reason why youngsters are not promoted to the senior side, the answer is obvious “Stability” Chelsea have changed more than 8 mangers in the last 11 years. As manger had no option apart from delivering a league title and champion league. RDM was sacked with 7 month when he won the Champion league for blues; because of him Chelsea became first London club to lift this glory. Now, Jose wants to stay at Chelsea for 10 years. He has a huge responsibility to deliver PL titles and also bring the youth into first team.
Youth players who are performing well for Chelsea on loan are Patrick Bamford and Traore, who are playing for Middlesbrough and vitessis both of them could be the option for Chelsea. Third striker as Drogba will leave Chelsea at the end of the season. Some of the youngster are playing well for Chelsea U-18 and 21 are Ruban LS, Solanke, Boga , Mousoda, colkett and Abraham.
